Paper Wall
A project of Architecture Research Office
2000
Set with the challenge to build a freestanding wall made entirely of paper, and equipped with a laser cutter the likes of which at the time were only in the hands of much larger offices, we went about systematically cutting trial shapes for folding and attaching ’like velcro’ as Stephen Cassell intuited was the best way to tackle the structural problem. Extraordinary properties of the lasered material emerged.
